Almaty International Airport
From the buzzing cultural hub of the city centre to the eternally snow covered mountains that envelop it – Almaty is a place of contrast. As a city that acts as a connecting point of continents, it is home to the country’s largest international airport. In 2019 Enfold was approached to create a new visual identity for the airport.

Functional
Organized
The core concept driving this redesign centers around a dynamic 50-degree diagonal line, symbolizing the ascent of flight and the white snow tops always visible upon the arrival and departure from the city. This line serves as the foundational grid upon which our visual identity is built, providing structure, consistency, and a sense of forward momentum. The redesigned identity aims to create a cohesive and memorable experience for passengers and visitors alike.
Journey starts and ends with white snow top mountains
Connecting continents
A linear grid was used to generate multiple geometric patterns for print, signage and environmental graphics. From this, a strong diagonal element emerged, evoking the feeling of flight take-off.
